TUNA

Tuna are very easy to catch in the Pacific and Atlantic sides of Panama.

Las Tunas son muy fáciles de pescar tanto en el Pacífico como en el Atlántico en Panamá.

BARRACUDA

You will find alot of Barracuda on the Atlantic side of Panama. They are not quite as mean as they look.

Se pueden encontrar una gran cantidad de Baracudas en el Atlántico panameño. No son tan fáciles como parecen a simple vista.

AMBERJACK / UREL

Amberjacks are very common in the Pacific. Pedasi is the best place to catch them in Panama. They can grow very big and put up a good fight.

Los Ureles son muy comunes en el Pacífico. Pedasí es el mejor lugar para pescarlos en Panamá. Ellos alcanzan gran tamaño y dan mucha pelea.

The Dolphin is a sport fish that loves to jump!! They can get up to about 100 pounds. They are uniquely indentifiable by their rounded heads. It is one the most exciting fish that you can catch, they tend to put up a good fight.

El Dorado es un pez deportivo que le encanta saltar. Pueden llegar a las 100 libras. Pueden ser identificados fácilmente por sus cabezas redondas. Es uno de los más emocionantes peces que puedes atrapar, ya que dan buena pelea.

The most coveted sportfish in the Sea. Fortunately for thos of us who reside in Panama, it is not uncommon to see one on the end of your line. Panama has 140 world records for Marlin. It is truly some of the best Marlin fishing in the World.

El pez deportivo más buscado en el océano. Por fortuna para aquellos que vivimos en Panamá, es muy común verlos al final de la línea. Panamá tiene140 records mundiales en Marlin!! Definitivamente uno de los mejores sitios para Marlin en todo el mundo.

GROUPER / MERO

This Jewfish was speared at Isla Otoque on the Pacific side. It was shot by Fernando, Marcello, Heraclio, Alexis, and Bill.

El Mero es un pez enorme que muchas veces debe ser buscado mediante caza submarina. Este fue arponeado en Isla Otoque.

SNAPPER / PARGO

Snappers are very abundant in both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans (a one hour journey from coast to coast). They range from 5 to 80 pounds.

El Pargo es muy abundante en ambos mares, Pacífico y Atlántico (En Panamá están separados por una hora de viaje en carro). Se pueden conseguir de 5 a 80 libras.

TARPON / SÁBALO

Tarpon can be found in both the Atlantic and Pacific, but are more common in the Atlantic. They are known to run in the Atlantic Canal entrance.

El Sábalo se puede encontrar tanto en el Atlántico como en el Pacífico; pero es más común en el Atlántico. Ambas entradas del Canal son buenos sitios para atraparlos.

BASS / SARGENTO

Bass are very abundant in Lake Gatun. It is not uncommon to catch 30-50 in one day. Panama is known for its freshwater fishing as well as its ocean fishing. Recently Panama received from IGFA the world record in this fish.

El Bass (Sargento) es muy abundante en el Lago Gatún. Es muy común atrapar entre 30 y 50 en un día. Panamá es conocido tanto por su pesca de agua dulce como su pesca de mar. Recientemente la IGFA reconoció el record mundial de Sargento en Panamá.

SPANISH MACKERAL / SIERRA

Spanish Mackeral are fast fish that like to run when they take the bait.

La Sierra es un pez muy veloz que le gusta correr cuando persiguen un señuelo.

Wahoo is one of the best sportfish you can catch if you like a good fight. They will run your line to the limit.

El Wahoo es uno de los mejores peces deportivos que puedes atrapar si te gusta una buena pelea. Ellos harán correr tu línea al límite.
